Abu Dhabi: A group of renowned Islamic scholars from various Arab and Islamic countries arrived in the UAE at the invitation of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to grace this year’s religious activities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The activities are being held under the personal supervision of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs.

The 25 presidential guests, arriving from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Indonesia and other countries, were received on arrival at the Abu Dhabi International Airport by Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Awqaf (GAIAA) Dr. Mohammad Matar Al Kaabi and other top officials from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and the GAIAA.

Dr. Al Kaabi expressed his gratitude to Shaikh Mansour for personally following up on the affairs of the presidential guests. He said this special presidential care being enjoyed by Muslim scholars during the holy month of Ramadan was a tradition initiated and nurtured by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, adding that the tradition had been sustained and given a boost by Shaikh Khalifa, in view of its great religious guidance and spiritual benefit.
