Abu Dhabi Police announce rules for National Day celebrations
Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Patrols Directorate has announced regulations for car decorations in celebration of 44th UAE National Day.
Brigadier Khalifa Mohammad Al Khaili, deputy director at the directorate, said that motorists are prohibited from changing the colour of their cars, as well as posting stickers or obscene phrases on the vehicle’s body.
Al Khaili added that motorists are not allowed to exceed the passenger limit, and that anyone in the vehicle is not allowed to stick any part of their body out of the car. He said that it is also prohibited to colour or tint a car’s front windshield, install a flag, use spray paint, disrupt the traffic flow or park on main or internal roads, taxi stations or bus stops. Motorists cannot install car parts that increase the noise of vehicles or modify its engine.
Al Khaili pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police will intensify monitoring in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region to ensure that no violations are committed and ensure a smooth traffic flow on the roads.
He added that car decorations will be permitted from November 22 till December 6.
