Dubai: As of today, having a petrol attendant fill up your car with fuel will cost motorists an additional Dh10 in the northern emirates.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) Distribution’s division launched its flex service in 158 of its petrol stations on October 21, which includes the emirate of Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.

The Adnoc Flex premium service was launched at midnight.

It includes the reward programme for premium customers, which means that for the additional Dh10, the petrol attendant will do the following:

■ refuel your car
■ wash your windshield and
■ check your tyres

In addition, premium customers will also receive rewards that can be redeemed in Oasis stores on beverages and lubricants.

Adnoc had earlier rolled out its premium service in Abu Dhabi on June 30, and assured that elderly and People of Determination are exempted from paying the premium service fee.

Drivers who do not want to pay the extra Dh10 have the opportunity to use the self-service option.

Over the last few months, motorists in the northern emirates were able to practise re-fuelling their own vehicles as part of Adnoc’s trial run.
