Dubai: Thick fog enveloped a huge swathe of the UAE early on Friday morning, but devotees were undeterred and joyfully showed up by the thousands at Eid musallahs and mosques across the country to offer Eid Al Ahda prayers.

Tomorrow, Saturday, is expected to be another foggy day, especially in the early morning hours.

The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has reported the mist blanketed a big part of the country from north, down to the central regions.

Weathermen also warned of poor visibility on most roads.

Fog was seen over Abu Dhabi City as well as Abu Dhabi-Dubai Road.

The weather bureau raised the fog alert as they expect a higher relative humidity on Friday night and early morning on Saturday.
