Dubai: The UAE will have fair and partly cloudy to cloudy weather with a bit of showers in some areas this weekend.

Friday will have fair to partly cloudy weather in general, with the amount of clouds increasing at times over some northern areas and islands, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

The southeasterly to easterly becoming north-easterly to northwesterly winds will be light to moderate during daytime, with speed of 10-20km/h reaching 35km/h.


The cloud amounts may increase on Saturday, bringing showers by evening and Sunday morning over the eastern and northern parts and islands such as Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Relative humidity is expected to increase by evening reaching up to 87 to 88 per cent in Dubai and Sharjah, and 94 per cent in Abu Dhabi on Friday, and humidity levels almost reaching 100 per cent in Sharjah on Saturday evening.

Drivers need to be cautious while on the roads as fog or mist may form due to high humidity levels over some internal areas.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be slight to moderate on Friday. The Arabian Gulf will be moderate to rough and Oman Sea slight to moderate the next day.
