Dubai: Motorists have been cautioned over a decline in road visibility as fog and mist is expected to form at night and into the morning across various parts of the UAE.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) on Thursday advised residents to take caution of strong winds and rough seas that will blow over the coastal areas at a speed of 12-26km/h, which may reach up to 36km/h at times.

In its daily weather forecast, the NCM said that northeasterly-northwesterly winds will blow across coastal and internal areas of the country, which will range from mild to moderate.

“The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over internal and coastal areas, with a chance of fog and mist formation over scattered areas,” said the NCM.

Temperatures are also expected to increase slightly until Saturday.

The waves at sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

The temperature until Friday is expected to range from 14-27 degrees Celsius in coastal areas, 12-29 degrees Celsius in internal areas and 5-17 degrees Celsius in mountain areas.

The top three minimum temperatures on Thursday, according to the NCM, were recorded in Razeen at 8.2 degrees Celsius, Al Dhaid at 9.1 degrees Celsius, and in Damtha at 9.4 degrees Celsius.
