Dubai: Various areas of the UAE was affected by fog on Wednesday morning, resulting in tailbacks of traffic in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
Footage of the heavy fog in Abu Dhabi was posted on social media, which showed how the dense fog reduced visibility on the capital’s roads.

Traffic accidents were reported in Abu Dhabi by 8am as commuters made their way to work, which led to heavy traffic on Shaikh Zayed Street and before Sas Al Nakhl Bridge.

In Dubai, traffic accidents were reported on Al Khail Road near Al Quoz, Business Bay Bridge towards Dubai Mall, and three accidents happened in Al Garhoud on Rebat Street.
Heavy congestion affected drivers in the morning going along Business Bay Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge leading up to Shaikh Zayed Road, while Sharjah drivers suffered major delays on National Paints interchange, Abu Shagara and Al Wahda Street.
Motorists are warned to drive with caution as the relative humidity will increase during the night and into the early morning, bringing fog and mist across parts of the country.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), the weather until Friday will remain hot during the day time but will eventually cool down at night.
