Dubai: Another surface low pressure may bring different intensities of rain from Tuesday and unstable weather until Friday in parts of the country, forecasters warned.

“The state will be affected by a surface low pressure extending over the south western areas of the Arabian Peninsula, associated with different amounts of clouds from the west and southwest,” a statement from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology read.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the UAE will have partly cloudy skies and hazy conditions in general.

The mercury is expected to rise over some areas. By afternoon and evening, the amount of clouds will gradually increase, possibly becoming rain clouds, over some areas of Abu Dhabi, especially along the coast westward towards Al Ruwais, the western islands and some southern interiors.

Moderate winds, freshening at times, blowing at 18km/h to 28km/h, may reach 40km/hr over some areas, may cause dust to rise over exposed areas.

On Wednesday until Friday, unstable weather is forecast as the low pressure is expected to deepen in the upper layers of the atmosphere that could result in clouds to develop from the southwest and west and to move inland, covering the country.

The occasional increase in cloud amounts will probably be associated with some towering clouds that may bring different intensities of scattered rain from the western part of Abu Dhabi and including Al Ghuwaifat, Al Ruwais, Madinat Zayed, Liwa, and extending over  Al Ain and different parts of the northern emirates, especially along coastal areas such as Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah.

Moderate winds, freshening at times, reaching 55km/h, are expected with towering clouds that could kick up dust and reduce visibility over exposed areas.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be rough at times from Wednesday to Friday. The public is urged not to frequent the sea due to rough waves, especially during cloud activity.
