Dubai: The sun may be up and shining down on UAE on Tuesday morning but chances of light rain still persist across the country, accompanied by hazy and dusty conditions.

Dubai residents woke up to a sunny and partially cloudy Tuesday morning after scattered showers hit the country the night before.

Light rain fell in Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi Airport, Al Bateen, Khalifa City, and other parts of the country. Heavy rain was recorded at 10pm in Al Shahama in Abu Dhabi, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said in its official Twitter account.

Rainy weather on Tuesday night dipped temperatures to 23 degrees Celsius, with the lowest temperature recorded in Jais Mountain at 11.7 degrees Celcius at 1am on Tuesday.

Monitoring stations at the weather bureaus on Tuesday still show rain clouds over scattered parts of the country due to a low pressure.

Weathermen issued new warnings of fresh winds that may cause blowing dust and may reduce horizontal visibility to less than 3,000 metres at times, especially over the open areas.

At around 10am on Tuesday, dusty conditions reduced visibility in Al Dhafra to 3,500m and while at Abu Dhabi Airport, visibility was reduced to 2,500m.
