Dubai: The mountainous areas in eastern UAE may receive showers on Tuesday afternoon, while parts of the country may experience winds packed with sand and dust.

Some scattered low clouds may form over the East Coast on Tuesday that may become towering clouds that produce showers over the mountains by afternoon, according to the weather bulletin of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

The country will experience light to moderate winds with speeds between 20km/h and 32km/h. Dust and sand-packed winds may blow over the northern emirates. Temperatures will range between 41 degrees Celsius and 46C, and are expected to drop by evening to between 25C and 31C.

Relative humidity will increase on Tuesday evening and early morning Wednesday over the coastal and some internal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation, especially to the west.

Mist was recorded over Liwa while fog affected the western part of the UAE early Monday morning.

The sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf, becoming rough gradually by Tuesday evening in the Oman Sea.
