Winds on the coast were forecast to flow from northeasterly and northwesterly at speeds of up 30km with gusts of up to 45km while inland, winds could reach 28km with gusts of up to 35km from the same direction.

Humidity levels on the coast were forecast to reach up to 95 per cent and 55 per cent minimum while inland, humidity levels could top out at 90 per cent and dip to a low of 35 per cent, said the weather office.

As for the emerging weather patterns extending into the days ahead, the weather centre said fog conditions in the morning were likely to continue due in part to cloudy conditions across the UAE.

The centre said it sees “fair to partly cloudy weather in general, moderate winds in general. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf, and Oman Sea. Wind speed will become light over land during night and early morning times, and the relative humidity will increase over some coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog and mist formation.”
