Dubai: Rough seas in the Arabian Gulf have been forecast for Saturday and Sunday, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said on Friday.

NCMS warned of “fresh strong winds and rough to very rough sea in the Arabic Gulf” on its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ncmsmedia).

Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy, with another drop in temperature following the recent decline over the past few days as winter continues to ease in.

The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE on Friday was 13.7 degrees Celsius over the Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah, the country’s tallest peak at around 1,910 metres.

The NCMS added that Saturday could see dusty or sandy weather at times during the day.

The outlook for Sunday said fog may form over inland areas, while skies would be partly cloudy by day. Rough sea conditions would become moderate in intensity by Sunday night.
