Al Ain: Weather is expected to be cloudy to partly cloudy in the next 48 hours. There will also be a fall in temperature across the country, the Met office said yesterday.

The rainy spell, which played havoc in several parts of Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates, has gradually receded, leaving behind cloudy and cool weather.

A weatherman said there are still chances of rain in some areas, especially in northern and eastern emirates. "Cloud cover will further decrease by today afternoon and evening," he said.

There will be fresh northwesterly winds and relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some internal areas.

Chance of fog

According to the forecast of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, weather will remain partly cloudy in general.

It will be pleasant during daytime and slightly cold at night over the next few days.

As the relative humidity is expected to increase, the chances of fog have increased over some areas.

Yesterday the maximum temperature remained between 17 to 24 degree Celsius in the coastal areas, 15C to 27C in the interior areas, and 6C to 19C in mountainous areas.
