Abu Dhabi: The weather bureau has urged motorists to take caution while driving in cities along the coast as visibility may become poor late on Monday night and early morning on Tuesday.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) on Monday said fog or mist may form due to increased relative humidity in various parts of the country, specifically in coastal areas such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, and extending towards the western areas.
Abu Dhabi’s humidity levels may reach 90 per cent.
On Friday afternoon, convective clouds and fresh winds brought rainshowers over parts of the Fujairah from about 3pm to 4pm.
Late afternoon showers were reported in Al Haniyh and Al Manama districts as well as on part of Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road leading to the emirate, reducing visibility, the weather bureau reported.

The rest of the country will have fair and partly cloudy weather with some rain clouds expected to form over the east coast from Tuesday to Thursday.

“Some towering clouds will form by afternoon from Tuesday to Thursday over some southern areas on Friday,” NCMS said in a bulletin.
Light to moderate winds, however, may kick up dust in exposed areas.
Lower temperatures
The mercury has lowered a bit since September began, with Dubai expecting to have temperatures ranging between 28 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius, Abu Dhabi between 28C and 44C, and Sharjah between 26C to 43C.
The “coolest place” relative to the rest of the country remains to be Fujairah with expected temperatures ranging between 30C and 37C.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate becoming rough at times, in the Sea of Oman.
