Dubai: Don’t forget the sunscreen and keep your water bottles ready if you plan to go outdoors this Eid Al Fitr holidays as the weather will be unforgiving with forecasters expecting hot to very hot weather for the rest of the week.

The UAE will have plenty of sunshine during the day on the first and second day of Eid Al Fitr resulting in hot to very hot conditions. Residents may avoid going to interior areas such as the Western Region and the interior areas of Dubai and Sharjah as they are expected to record the highest temperatures across the country. The mercury is expected to reach a maximum of between 44C to 48C.

Coastal areas of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah are expected to have slightly lower maximum temperatures of 39C to 45C but humidity levels in Dubai and Sharjah could reach a maximum of 100 per cent.

Conditions in areas near the mountains in the east are expected to be more pleasant with temperatures expected to be in the range of 32C to 36C. Some low clouds are expected to form over Al Ain and to the south on Wednesday afternoon. Forecasters see a chance of these clouds becoming convective and causing some rain.

Evenings are not expected to offer much of a respite from the weather pattern as relative humidity will rise even if temperatures drop slightly. Some coastal areas may see mist or fog form due to increased humidity.

Conditions at sea in the Arabian Gulf will range from light to moderate on Wednesday and Thursday while the Oman Sea will be rough at times on Wednesday and light to moderate on Thursday.
