Dubai: Strong gusts of wind billowed across the UAE on Sunday morning, bringing temperatures down to unexpected cools of around 15 degrees Celsius.
In its daily forecast, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that the weather will be partly cloudy in general, with blowing dust and a fall in temperatures.
The minimum temperature, according to the NCM, will range from 12-17C in coastal areas, 10-15C in internal areas, and 7-12C in the mountain region.
“The amount of clouds will increase over scattered areas of the country, which may be associated with light rain, especially over the northern areas,” said the NCM.

Moderate to string winds are expected to continue throughout the day, which will cause dust and sand to scatter across UAE roads, leading to a decline in visibility on the roads.
The NCM also advised residents, especially in the Western region, to be cautious on the roads as fog and mist also affected road visibility, bringing it down to 500 metres.

Strong northwesterly winds will especially affect the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, as weather forecasters warn that the dust will reduce visibility to one nautical mile.
