Dubai: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warned of fog formation starting from 10pm on Saturday until 11am on Sunday.
The weather bureau said that visibility is expected to drop to 500 metres on most internal and coastal areas, especially on the western region.
Foggy conditions will continue into the New Year, the weather bureau said.
Those wishing to ring in the New Year on Sunday will have to deal with late night and early morning fog.
It is unclear if the fog will obstruct the view at the Burj Khalifa or in other places where fireworks displays are planned.
The NCM said that the weather will be generally partly cloudy to fair in general during the day and relatively cold at night until Tuesday.
