Abu Dhabi: Light showers are expected along the western coast of the UAE with the weather throughout Saturday forecast to be cloudy and windy.

National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned that fresh winds will blow along the coast and the sea will be rough, urging beach goers to be cautious.

The NCMS forecast said: “The amount of low clouds will increase over the islands, the western area and the coast during night and Saturday morning, with a chance of rain.”

The forecast also said that fresh winds will kick up dust and make visibility poor.

Rough waters are expected in the Arabian Gulf as well as in Oman Sea and humidity is expected to increase overnight, rising further in the morning.

The coastal temperatures are expected to drop to as low as 16 degrees Celsius, while the internal areas will see the mercury drop to 11C and in the mountains it will further go down to 7 degrees Celsius.
