Sharjah: The special road service programme, Saaed, that deals with minor traffic accidents has established two technical support units at Al Gharb Police Station and the Industrial Area Police Station.

The move came after a motorist complained about the service provided by Saaed in the northern emirate. He complained the patrol had made a lot of mistakes when entering data which caused complications with his insurance company.

Hassan Abdullah Al Hadi, Director of Saaed’s operation department, northern emirates, said they welcomed complaints and were ready to address them immediately. He said that he received the complaint conveyed by Sharjah Police and solved the motorist’s problem by re-entering the data with the correct information.

He said these kinds of problems sometimes occurred due to technical problems related to data entry devices.

Motorists can also call the police operations room, from where follow-up can be undertaken.

Colonel Sultan Al Khayal, Director of the public relations department at Sharjah Police, said that Saaed has been a great help for the police as it had reduced the volume of work for police patrols. Saaed was set up to attend to minor accidents to allow the police to deal with major accidents. He said he appreciated Al Hadi’s efforts in solving the motorist’s issue.
