Dubai: If you’re driving around the city of Sharjah, watch out for partial road closures near the airport.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah have started carrying out maintenance works on the Sharjah – Al Dhaid Road, near Sharjah International Airport.

According to a tweet posted by the RTA, the road works will take place on the second intersection, and will affect motorists heading from Al Suwaihat area to Tala’a area.

 

The authority confirmed that the road closure started from August 1 and will continue until September 1 from 12 midnight to 6am.

The maintenance work also includes upgrading the bridge and replacing old parts of the asphalt road.

Motorists have been alerted about the changes and road signs have already been installed near the area.
