Ras Al Khaimah police has decided to extend the grace period for discounted traffic fines till December 2, said Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ras Al Khaimah Police

December 2 is the UAE National Day.

Major General Al Nuaimi, said the decision to reduce the traffic fines by 55 per cent is to give motorists a chance to renew their registration and ease their burden in paying the accumulated fines.

The offer has started on November 1 and was supposed to be ended by November 15 — but the department decided to extend the period till December 2.

The decision was made based on public requests, Major General Al Nuaimi said.

Major General Al Nuaimi urged all motorists to take advantage of this grace period and renew the registration of their vehicles.

The discount in fines applies to all traffic fines, he added.

Major General Al Nuaimi made the announcement on October 26, to mark the 7th anniversary of the ascension day of His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
