Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announces changes in the working hours of all its services in Dubai during the Hijri New Year holiday, which falls on Thursday.

Mowza Al Merri, director of RTA’s Marketing and Corporate Communication, said all customers’ happiness centres would remain closed during the holiday.

All paid parking zones will be free across the emirate on Thursday, except multi-level parking lots. Parking fees would be reactivated on Saturday.

Public paid parking zones will also be free of charge on Thursday in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

During the holiday, Dubai Metro Red Line stations will operate from 5.30am to 1am (of the following day), while the Green Line stations will operate from 5.50am to 1am (of the following day). The Express Metro service will also be available during the holiday. The Dubai tram will be in service during the holiday from 6.30am to 1am (of the following day).

She added that the timing of public buses (Dubai Bus) at main stations will include Gold Souq operating from 5am to 1am (of the following day); Al Ghubaiba station from 5am to 12.10am.

Metro link bus stations at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be in service from 5am to 12.20am. All metro feeder routes are synchronised with the metro timetables.

All centres affiliated to service providers will be closed on Thursday.
