Dubai: A new Tasjeel Centre for vehicle testing and registration will be set up in Dubai Motor City by the end of 2016 following the huge demand from the communities living in that area.

The new site is said to have the capacity to serve over 400 vehicles a day and over 25,000 residents from nearby areas.

The plan to open the new centre came after Tasjeel signed an agreement with Union Properties (UP) to build, own and operate a new vehicle testing and registration centre in Dubai Motor City, managed by Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc).

The centre, to cover 6,318 square metres, will include a wide range of facilities that allow customers to complete the vehicle testing and registration process. It will also host a retail outlet for sale and installation of vehicle accessories, a car wash, a lubes facility, a convenience store, an insurance booth, a document typing booth and a vehicle repair shop.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director at Enoc Retail, said the new Tasjeel branch is in response to supporting the needs of the community living in Dubai Motor City and areas nearby.

The site will be the 11th branch of the Tasjeel vehicle testing and registration stations across Dubai and the northern emirates. Other current locations include Al Ghusais, Al Barsha, Al Aweer, Warsan, Sharjah Auto Village and Jebel Ali.
