Dubai: New paid parking tariffs and timings will come into effect in Dubai from Saturday, May 28, as the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) restructured system becomes active.
The new paid hours will be from 8am to 10pm, without any break in the afternoon, applicable to all zones across the city.
However, a change in tariff, which comes into effect from today (Saturday), will only be applicable in zones A and B, covering 23 per cent of the paid parking area.
In the restructured system, Dubai will have four paid parking zones — A and B will cover roadside parking and parking lots respectively in commercial areas and C and D will cover roadside parking and parking lots respectively in non-commercial areas.
Meanwhile, Deira Fish Market, Tecom areas and Downtown Dubai have been designated as three special zones E, F and G respectively.
