Abu Dhabi: A new service centre for Mawaqif parking services will be opened at the capital’s main bus station on April 1, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has announced.

The centre at the bus station, located at the intersection between Sultan Bin Zayed Street the First Street and Hazza Bin Zayed Street, will be open from 8am to 8pm from Saturday to Thursday, and between 2pm and 8pm on Fridays.

Four other Mawaqif service centres will however close at the end of the month, on March 31, including the branches on Zayed the First Street (Electra Street), in Central Market, in Al Falah area and at the Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties, the ITC statement said.

ITC handles transportation services in the emirate of Abu Dhabi under the purview of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT). Motorists can apply for new residential parking permits at the Mawaqif centres, pay their parking-related fines or file any parking-related complaints.

Meanwhile, the branches at the Abu Dhabi Municipality headquarters on Shaikh Zayed Street, in Marina Mall and at Al Bateen will remain open as usual from Sunday to Thursday between 7:30am to 3:30pm. Residents can also avail of parking services at the DMAT Customer Care Centre in Al Maqtaa between 7:30am and 8pm from Sunday to Thursday.
