Abu Dhabi: Motorists can now use a new 800-metre entryway to access the Khalifa City suburb, located near Al Raha Beach, the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities announced on Sunday.

The entryway is 800 metres long, and has been built at a cost of Dh11 million, according to the municipal and transport sector regulator. The new access to Khalifa City A will make it easier for motorists travelling from Al Raha to Khalifa City, and ease the congestion on the existing entryways near the Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as near The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai road.

The new entryway was actually opened to vehicular traffic on Thursday.
