Dubai: An Emirati man died in a car crash on Emirates Road on Monday morning, Dubai Police said.
Col Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director of Dubai Traffic Police, said that the incident took place at around 10am on Emirates Road near the Dubai Club bridge in the direction of Sharjah before the Al Khawaneej exit.
“The incident involved a 4x4 car, which the deceased was driving, and two trucks,” he said.
The Emirati driver crashed into the truck in front of him, which had stopped because of traffic. The impact of the accident caused the truck to slide and crash into another truck, he said.
The accident caused traffic congestion on the road.
Col Al Mazroui urged drivers to pay attention to the road and not get distracted as well as abide by traffic rules.
