Majority of schools started at 10am, while some suspended classes
Abu Dhabi: Heavy fog disrupted the functioning of several schools in the capital on Thursday as they had to suspend classes or start late in the morning.
Most of the schools started at 10am, over two hours late from their regular operations at 7.30am.
Dalia Marmoush from the administration of Gems Winchester School in Abu Dhabi said, “For the safety of our pupils, we started at 10am today due to foggy weather and we have informed all parents through text messages.”
Abu Dhabi Indian School informed parents that there would be no classes for students of KG and Grade 1 to 11 due to fog, while Grade 12 classes started at 9.30am.
