Dubai: Dubai Metro services between ADCB station and First Gulf station have resumed after a temporary disruption on Monday.  Services on Metro’s Red Line had been disrupted due to a technical snag, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed.

An RTA spokesperson said that technical teams managed to fix the snag and the services were restored after about two hours.

The train operations were disrupted at around 12 noon, and the RTA provided shuttle bus services between ADCB metro station and First Gulf metro station.
However, scores of commuters are stranded at several stations along the disrupted stretch as the shuttle service was unable to cope with the demand.

“There are not enough buses to carry all the passengers. I have been waiting for long with several other passengers and we are all stranded here with no alternative,” said Mohammad Nadeem, a commuter at Business Bay station.

Another passenger urged RTA to deploy more taxis at all the affected stations.
“We would appreciate if there are more taxis. We have been stranded here for more than one hour now and the shuttle services are not sufficient, more taxis would be helpful,” said Nasir Momin, a passenger stranded at ADCB station.
