Dubai: The Dubai Metro service returned to normal after an hour-long interruption on the Red Line on Tuesday morning.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had earlier announced the interruption of service between the Rashidya and Emirates Towers stations, in both directions, due to a technical issue.
At around 6am, RTA announced that the service interruption was “due to a technical issue”, and that “the operations team is working hard to resolve earliest.”
Alternative bus services were provided along the Red Line between the affected stations.
Announcing the return of normal service, RTA thanked metro users for the cooperation with the officials at the stations and apologised for the delays caused by the interruption.
