Dubai: Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram will operate non-stop on Thursday (December 31) and Friday (January 1) to facilitate uninterrupted access for people travelling to celebrate the new year, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Monday.

Red Line service

Timings: will begin 5.30am on Thursday and running uninterrupted till 1am on Saturday.

Operating almost 40 hours non-stop.

Green Line service

Timings: will begin at 5.50am on Thursday and running uninterrupted till 1am on Saturday.

Dubai Tram

Timings: will also operate close to 40 hours non-stop, starting from 6.3am on Thursday and closing at 1am on Saturday.

The timing of the feeder service will match the timing of the Metro service.

Bus stations

The holidays will see the main bus stations working extended hours.

Gold Souq bus station: will operate between 4.25am and 1am

Al Ghubaiba station: will remain open between 5am and past midnight until 12.10.

Satwa station: will start service at 5am and close at 11:15pm, except for Route C01, which will provide 24/7 service.

Al Quoz Industrial Station: will operate between 5am and 11:35 pm.

Al Qusais Station: will remain open from 4.40am to 10.50pm.

Jebel Ali Station: will operate from 5.40am to 9.45pm.

The inter-city bus service between Al Ghubaiba and Sharjah will continue to run for 24 hours during the holidays, while the inter-city bus routes from other stations will also operate unchanged.

 

All vehicles testing and registration centres will be closed on Friday, except for Tasjeel Al Qusais, Tasjeel Al Barsha, Quick Vehicle Testing and Registration Centre at Al Qusais, and Platinum Vehicle Testing Centre at Dubai Mall.
