The beginning of the week took off to a slow start, as traffic accidents and traffic jams delayed motorists on Sunday.
According to Dubai Police, Shaikh Zayed Road witnessed traffic snarls after an accident happened near Al Manara Bridge, in the direction towards Safa Park.

A second accident also happened on Al Hadiqa Road, at the Safa Park intersection, causing heavy traffic delays in the direction towards Abu Dhabi.

Motorists were advised to take alternative routes and proceed with caution.

The Dubai - Al Ain Road faced further traffic snarls due to a major traffic accident that happened after Nad Al Sheba towards Al Ain.

In Abu Dhabi, the department of municipal affairs and transport recorded an accident on Corniche Street at Rashid Bin Saeed Street towards the Marina. The accident affected the traffic flow, due to authorities blocking the middle lane of the road.
