Abu Dhabi: Recent construction work has eased traffic flow at the intersection between Hazza Bin Zayed Street and Shaikh Zayed Street in the capital, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City announced in a statement on Sunday.

The work started in December 2014, and included the creation of three lanes to access the Qasr Al Bahr tunnel for motorists heading in the outbound direction from Hazza Bin Zayed Street. This helped improve the traffic flow on Shaikh Zayed Street.

In addition, the rainwater drainage network was improved, and metal barriers were used to replace other barriers and plastic cones. Directional signs were installed, and pedestrian crossings were also enhanced.
