Abu Dhabi Eco-boat cruises are the latest attraction at Abu Dhabi’s stunning Eastern Mangroves Nature Reserve.

The donut-shaped circular boats are powered by an electric engine, have fitted seating for up to six and a central built-in table and a central parasol for shade when needed.

Currently there are six donut boats available at Eastern Mangroves.

The new tourist attraction is introduced by Belevari Marine, a leading marine leisure and hospitality company in the emirate.

The Eco Donuts, which originated in Germany, give guests access to the spectacularly beautiful and tranquil Eastern Mangroves Nature Reserves where motorized boats are forbidden.

“The donuts are easy to self-drive and after a five minute safety and boat handling instruction, guests can take them out for anything from a 30 minute drive up to a three hour journey,” said Belevari CEO, Captain Berend Lens van Rijn.

“Abu Dhabi has many hidden natural treasures, exemplified by the mangroves reserve. To date, the Eastern Mangroves have been reserved for people in kayaks and canoes but the Eco Donuts let residents and tourists alike enjoy the area together. People can take a picnic basket out and spend a quiet afternoon relaxing and taking in the scenery in a fun and affordable way,” he added.

The Eco Donuts can be hired, on an individual basis or by companies looking for a novel team building experience, at AED 200 for 30mins; AED300 for an hour and AED200 for every additional hour. For bookings email at info@belevari.com or call 02 6431494.
