Dubai: A man died and 23 others were injured in five accidents last week, according to the Dubai Police Traffic Department.

Major General Mohammad Saif Al Zafein, director of the department, said the first accident took place at 1pm on Monday, when a Toyota FJ overturned on Rabat road resulting in the death of the Emirati driver in hospital two hours after the accident.

There were two accidents on Emirates Road on Thursday. The first left two with severe injuries and 16 with minor injuries, while the second, in which a car and a minibus crashed and hit a woman pedestrian, left the woman with moderate injuries.

Another accident on Rabat Road on Friday morning left a biker with moderate injuries, while a collision between two vehicles on Saturday caused one severe injuries to one and moderate injuries to two, Maj Gen Al Zafein said.
