Abu Dhabi: Visitors and participants at the Tal Al Mureb Liwa International Festival are being urged to take caution when entering the sandy road leading to the festival’s racecourse, the Western Region Police Directorate said.

Colonel Ajil Ali Abdullah Al Junaibi, director of the Western Region Police Directorate in Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters said some are tempted to perform stunts in areas where they are not authorised to do so.

Al Junaibi revealed that police officers aim to ban all those who threaten the lives of the festival visitors and to educate all guests, especially newcomers, on the ways to avoid any possible road challenges they might face during their visit.

All spectators are advised to follow police instructions and road signs and not enter bumpy off roads or try to climb sand dunes. In case of car trouble, an on site technical team from the Western Region Police offers mechanical services will be on hand.
