Dubai: Ticket rates at soon-to-open Dubai Safari will range from Dh20 to Dh30 for children and Dh50 to Dh85 for adults, Gulf News can exclusively reveal.

Children below three, adults above 60 and people of determination (special needs) will enjoy the visit to the 119 hectare wildlife sanctuary project in Al Warqa for free, a senior official said.

The safari is expected to open in December.

“There will be two types of ticket rates for adults and children above three,” Khaled Sultan Hilal Al Suwaidi, director of Leisure Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, told Gulf News after providing the first images of the tickets for Dubai Safari.

The safari will have four villages — African, Arabian, Asian and an open Safari Village. There are separate tickets to enjoy the open safari ride in the Safari Village and to tour all the other villages in the Dubai Safari Park.

Visitors can either take them separately as per their choice or choose to go for an all-access ticket, which will have a discounted rate, Al Suwaidi explained.

Dh20 for children and Dh50 for adults will be charged if visitors choose to just take a ride in the open safari.

The same ticket rates will be charged separately if they only visit the other villages of the safari park.

“We have kept separate rates because there is so much to see and people may want to visit again. For those wishing to see everything on the same day, the all-access ticket with discounted prices will be available at the main entrance. It will be Dh35 for children and Dh85 for adults,” said Al Suwaidi.

He said visitors need to specify their choices while booking their tickets through the app, which will be launched later. They can also purchase all-access tickets at the main entrance.

Around 2,500 to 3,000 animals and many entertainment programmes and games will be part of the phase one of the Dh1b project.

However, he said that residents will have to wait for some more days after the UAE National Day on December 2 to visit Dubai Safari.

“Though we are ready for it, we will not be opening on the National Day. But it will definitely be in December,” he said.
