Dubai: A Unity Run that will take place at Al Mamzar Beach Corniche in Dubai this Friday will raise money for Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities and raise awareness for those with special needs.

It’s an inclusive un–timed 3km walk and 7km run celebrating the inclusiveness and tolerance of the UAE. It is also timed to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Union and the 35th anniversary of Al Noor. The race will start at 8am while the registration will begin at 6.30am.

It will include participants of all abilities, all backgrounds, and all ages, highlighting the UAE’s support for those with special needs.

Dubai aims to be a disabled-friendly city by 2020.

Held under the patronage of Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, honorary patron of Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities and the Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Unity Run supports this initiative and celebrates ‘Dubai …. A city for everyone.’

Side by side, abled and disabled will take part in the Unity Run, all proudly wearing the UAE colours on their race pack T-shirts.
