Abu Dhabi: By the end of 2015, all staff working in salons and beauty parlours must have completed a mandatory training regarding the relevant health, safety and environment standards. The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City therefore recently organised a meeting with accredited trainers in a bid to discuss the challenges presented during the training process, such as how to communicate with staff from a variety of backgrounds.

According to a statement sent by the Municipality today (May 5), the trainers will reach out to staff from all 2,000 beauty establishments and salons across the city.

The statement added that the training had been launched in 2010 after municipal inspectors detected rampant violations in hygiene and product use standards. By the end of 2014, 20 per cent of all staff in the city had received the public health training.
