Dubai: More than 14,000 patients visited Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) hospitals and primary health care centres during the Eid Al Adha break.

Dr Ahmad Bin Kalban, CEO of Hospital Services Sector at DHA, said that emergency departments of all hospitals functioned round-the-clock and received a total of 10,147 patients who visited the ER and outpatient clinics at Dubai Hospital, Hatta Hospital, Rashid Hospital and Latifa Hospital from September 9 to 11.

The highest number of patients visited Dubai Hospital (3,558), followed by Rashid Hospital (3,384), Latifa Hospital (1,847) and Hatta Hospital (1,358) respectively.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,346 patients were admitted to the hospitals during the same period — 435 were admitted to Dubai Hospital, 517 were admitted to Latifa hospital, 337 were admitted to Rashid Hospital and 57 were admitted to Hatta Hospital.

On the other hand, the primary health care centres received 2,686 patients from September 11 to 15, out of which 1,696 visited Nad Al Hammar Health Centre, 951 visited Al Barsha Health Care Centre and 39 visited Al Lusaily Health Centre.
