Dubai: The Corporate Marketing and Relations Department of Dubai Municipality, in co-ordination with the Blood Donation Centre of Latifa Hospital and DHA, organised a blood donation drive on Wednesday. This was the 30th blood donation drive in which employees of the civic body participated.
Ahmed Salman, Acting Head of Corporate Marketing and Relations Department, said the drive is aimed at assisting the efforts of the country’s blood banks to provide blood in emergency and for saving lives.
“Since we organised the first blood donation drive for two days in 1996 we have been receiving good response from our employees. Due to encouraging response from employees we have been organising three blood donation camps annually for the last few years,” he said.
