Abu Dhabi: A new Disease Prevention and Screening Centre opened on Monday in the Ghayathi area in the Western Region, the Ambulatory Healthcare Services announced in a statement.

The centre was moved from its former location in Ghayathi Hospital to a new dedicated facility located in the Al Dhafra Club in Ghayathi.

According to AHS officials, the new location offers improved facilities to patients, including a dedicated waiting area for women.

At present, 150 residents on average make use of the Ghayathi DPSC services every day. The number of people seeking visa screening services at the DPSC in Ghayathi also increased by about 4,000 residents from 2010 to 2011.
