Abu Dhabi: The annual UAE Government meetings have approved a work mechanism to realise the UAE Centennial 2071 goals.

The meetings concluded on Wednesday with a host of strategies and initiatives launched to secure a better and prosperous future for the UAE.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stressed that the UAE laid down strong foundations for government work, which support the UAE’s approach and journey for realising UAE Centennial 2071 and leading the UAE to be the top country in the world in different fields.

“As of today, we instructed the government to start working on the implementation of the UAE Centennial 2071. We will follow up with ministers and officials the development of work and completion plans in the upcoming annual meetings,” he added.

“With the directives of my brother President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we have approved the work mechanism to realise UAE Centennial 2071 objectives. We want to be the best nation and government. Our first goal is to build the best education system and economy, so that our society can be the happiest in the world,” said Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid.

“UAE Centennial 2071 ensures the better living standards for future generations and a sustainable society that is based on goodness, preserving our cultural legacy and authentic values,” he added.

“It exemplifies the continuity of the dream of the founding father, the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and Rulers of the Emirates,” said Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said that the annual meetings have laid the foundation for a greater national work system to enhance the UAE’s journey towards development in all sectors.

He said that the results of the initiatives and projects launched during these meetings would be discussed next year to ensure the progress of work to build the UAE of tomorrow.

“We are proud of the national work teams and their efficiency that will contribute to draw up long-term development strategies. We are all responsible for achieving our higher aspirations to be the best in all domains,” said Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed.
