Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced that UAE nationals can travel to Vanuatu without having to get a pre-entry visa as of October 21, for up to 90 days per visit.
Ahmad Elham Al Daheri, assistant undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said Emiratis holding diplomatic, private, VIP and ordinary passports can visit Vanuatu without a prior entry visa, for up to 90 days per visit. The visa-waiver decision comes after the UAE and Vanuatu signed a memorandum of understanding on September 21 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Al Daheri said the ministry has made great progress within its diplomatic and consular efforts to strengthen the country’s status on the global level. He affirmed that the ministry’s commitment to signing memorandums of understanding on visa exemptions reflects its keenness to provide distinguished consular services to Emiratis to facilitate their travel procedures around the world and to consolidate bilateral relations with other countries through enhancing cooperation in tourism, economic and investment fields
He stressed that the ministry is also striving to make the UAE passport among the five most powerful passports in the world as part of the UAE Vision 2021.
