Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Friday visited the house of Saif Yousuf Ahmad Belhol Al Falasi who died in the service of the nation while deployed with the UAE Armed Forces engaged in Operation Restoring Hope, the mission undertaken by the Saudi-led Arab coalition in support of the people and the legitimate government of Yemen.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, accompanied the two leaders when they met with the family of the martyr, expressing their heartfelt condolences and offering words of solace.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed emphasised that Staff Sergeant Saif Al Falasi was a role model whose sacrifice was an inspiration for Emirati youths to defend the sovereignty and independence of the homeland, and to protect its national and cultural gains as well as its principles of justice and peace.

The leaders hailed acts of heroism by members of the Armed Forces in the line of duty in various countries and regions witnessing civil and political unrest and as part of UN forces seeking to ensure justice, peace and stability to other fraternal and friendly countries.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed expressed their support for the family of Staff Sergeant Saif Al Falasi and their full commitment to the welfare of his sons.

Staff Sergeant Saif Al Falasi’s family expressed their pride at his martyrdom. The family added that the UAE would always have their unwavering loyalty given the attention the nation gave to the needs of each of its citizens and its endeavour to provide every citizen a dignified life.

They also expressed their happiness and gratitude at the visit of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed and Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad, noting that the visit was the highest medal from the wise leadership of the nation for martyr Saif Al Falasi.
