Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, paid tribute to the UAE Armed Forces for safeguarding the security of the region and taking part in the international peacekeeping and humanitarian missions. “We renew our commitment and gratitude to the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Federal Supreme Council members, The Rulers of the Emirates. On May 6, 1976, they took the historical decision to unify the Armed Forces and build a strong army, which safeguards and protects the security and stability of the country and strengthen the pillars of the UAE Union.”
His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, said the UAE Armed Forces create stability and peace, defending not only the rights of the Gulf and the Arab region, but also the rights throughout the world. Shaikh Saud said, “Today, we celebrate the 41st anniversary of the unification of our armed forces, which are the shield of defence of the homeland, a symbol of loyalty, generosity, unity, and pride for the Emirati people.”
His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, hailed the sacrifices of the valiant heroes of the UAE Armed Forces. “Our gallant Armed Forces stand with profound loyalty, sincere patriotism and in complete preparedness to defend the soil of our homeland and render our country impenetrable against whoever attempts to endanger our security and stability,” he said.
His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, said the UAE Armed Forces have played a major role in enhancing security and stability in the countries of the region, thanks to the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, said the unification of the UAE Armed Forces is a triumph to the country and its people, being a beacon of unity and development. He noted that the unification of the armed forces “is the shield for the society to feel the importance of unity and strength within the values of tolerance, peace and diligence.”
