Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday launched a national programme to introduce innovation and leadership curricula in various higher education specialisations at government and private universities in the UAE.

In a message posted on his twitter account, Shaikh Mohammad said: “We have launched today a national programme for introducing innovation and leadership curricula in various higher education specialisations at government and private universities in the UAE.”

“The programme was launched in co-operation with Stanford University. We will work on reassessing all educational specialisations so that they can keep abreast with UAE’s higher policy in innovation, sciences and leadership.”

In another tweet, he said: “Changing education curriculums and its tools ensures that we remain in global competitive circles during the coming decade. We have to prepare our generations for the future.”

The new generation is required to be proficient in innovative, analytical, communication and leadership skills. Following the higher education, we’ll be looking to introduce the national programme in public education.
