Istanbul: The UAE delegation participating in the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) held in Istanbul, hosted a round-table for international partners and heads of humanitarian organisations concerned with women and children’s issues.

During the round-table, which was chaired by Dr Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State and head of the UAE delegation to WHS, the UAE’s outstanding efforts in this area were reviewed in light of the vision of its wise leadership represented by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Also during the round-table, a video presentation was shown on the achievements and efforts made for women and children worldwide by Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
