February 13, 2006: Shaikh Saqr issues a decree to setting up the RAK Airways as a national airway with a paid up capital of Dh850 million

February 17, 2006: He grants clearance to Space Adventures Ltd to operate a suborbital vehicle from the emirate

February 18, 2006: He sets up the RAK Education Company (EDRAK), a Dh1.5b education firm invest in “all educational opportunities of all types and at all levels anywhere.”

April 22, 2007: He issues a decree setting up the RAK Transport Authority as an independent public body
