Dubai: Five streets and intersections in Dubai are now decorated with flowery designs that say ‘Thank You Mohammad Bin Zayed’.
This was done by Dubai Municipality in response to the ‘Thank you Mohammad Bin Zayed’ initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as a gesture to thank His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al Awadhi, director of Public Parks and Horticulture Department, said in a press release on Thursday that Hussain Nasser Lootah, director-general of the municipality, has given instructions to write the ‘Thank you Mohammad Bin Zayed’ message using ornamental horticultural designs along important streets and squares in the emirate.
“A team of engineers from the department has been assigned to select the most important roundabouts and intersections in Dubai and adorn it with the message,” he said.
“The message was written [in Arabic] using ‘Dubai font’ on the green patches at the intersections of Nad Al Hamar, Al Garhoud, Airport Road, the fifth interchange on Shaikh Zayed Road and on the street opposite Zabeel Park,” said Al Awadhi.
